Last year I was able to see P.S Waverley on her annual visit to this region on a rather chilly September afternoon. This year she made a return trip with 1-2 weeks of Thames tours, I was able to capture her twice this time round.

The first time was on the 30th September on the return leg of her short afternoon trip where she was running back to Southend & Gravesend.

On the 5th October I was once again able to capture her on her arrival into Clacton for a trip along the River Thames through Tower bridge.

She entered service for the London, North Eastern Railway in 1947 and from 1948 ran with the Caledonian Packet company until 1973. She is the last sea going Paddle Steamer in the world
